Sound Analysis Workshop (scholarships available)

We are not currently offering workshops in Ithaca, and it will probably be a little while until we do again. We have some online resources here on this page and in our virtual lab, and more virtual materials will be coming soon. Depending on your analysis goals, Raven could be a beginner-friendly yet robust environment within which to do your analysis. There is a lot of helpful documentation for how to use this program and support if you have any questions.

In addition to the link above, there are other places on the web that have a great collection of online resources about passive acoustic monitoring, including Carly Batist’s Acoustic Monitoring Training ResourcesTessa Rhinehardt’s List of Bioacoustic Software, and this Conservation Tech Directory.

If you are looking for advice about how to design and analyze a bioacoustics project, we invite you to contact us to tell us about what kind of bioacoustics project are you starting and to send any questions you might have.
