Linux Installation of Raven Lite
How to Install Raven Lite
1. Download the Linux installer from the Raven Lite downloads page.
2. Install in Terminal:
$ cd ~/Downloads
$ gzip -d RavenLite-2.0.5-linux-x64-installer.tgz
$ tar -xvf RavenLite-2.0.5-linux-x64-installer.tar
$ sudo ./RavenLite-2.0.5-linux-x64-installer.run
$ /opt/RavenLite2/makeshortcut.sh
A file named “Raven_Lite_2.desktop” should appear on your Linux desktop. Right-click on “Raven_Lite_2.desktop” and select “Allow Launching”.
How to Open Raven Lite
Do one of the following:
- Double-click on “Raven_Lite_2.desktop”, which you should find on your Linux desktop.
- Type in Terminal:
$ /opt/RavenLite2/RavenLite.sh
Troubleshooting
If Raven Lite does not work properly, try the following:
- Perform one of the solutions at “Error writing file /root/RavenLite2/RavenLite.ini”.
- Go to Request Support and describe in detail what Linux version you are using and what is going wrong. Please report the exact wording of any error messages. Screenshots are often very helpful.
